The speed at which MEDEVAC is executed can save many lives, be it a soldier or a civilian. It is for this reason ‘Quick Conversion’ kits have been designed, installed and successfully utilised around the world for MEDEVAC. With ‘Quick Conversion’ kits, a helicopter or aircraft can be converted into a MEDEVAC role in just a matter of minutes (15 – 30 mins).
The kit includes all the specialised medical equipment and attachments required for intensive care life support during such an evacuation – specially designed medical floor, equipment carrier with medical devices, oxygen bottles, medical crew seats and manoeuvrable stretchers.
SIKA provides customisation of ‘Quick Conversion’ modular intensive care unit (MICU) kits for aircraft and helicopters in India, including installation, integration of medical devices, certification, training and support in partnership with a leading European company that has provided over 500 MICU kits for numerous aircraft worldwide ranging from small helicopters to transport aircraft like the C-130 Hercules. Each of these conversions has been certified to stringent international aviation qualification standards.
